North Catholic Robotics Competition

On June 3, 2023, the Titanium Titans took first place in the North Catholic Robotics Competition! For this competition we competed as the Aluminum Argonauts as half of our team competed as the Titans at Battle Cry at WPI that same weekend. This was a great, local off-season competition that enabled us to develop new skills throughout our team! We are also proud to have a member of Sci-Tech on our team. Thanks to everyone involved in making the 2023 NCRC great!

May 2023 Outreach Events

The Titanium Titans joined the Pathways Touch-A-Truck event on Jefferson Avenue in Washington, PA, on May 13, 2023. It was great to see all of the kids and to introduce them to our robot. Upper St. Clair Community Day 2023! The Titanium Titans were proud to once again participate in this great event. We appreciate the opportunity to bring STEM outreach to the community, raise awareness of our team and meet new people!

Mentoring and Gracious Professionalism at GPR

The Titanium Titans participated in a week 6 regional in our hometown, the Greater Pittsburgh Regional We met teams from not only the US, but also from other countries. Two teams traveled abroad for GPR, 8861 06Angora from Turkey and 7570 New Tech from Poland! Throughout the season, we mentored three newer teams, Brashear, Milliones, and Sci-Tech, and we continued to support them in competition! County Commissioner visits Titans

On Thursday, March 23, Washington County Commissioner, Nick Sherman, visited the Titanium Titans at the Armory Youth Center in Canonsburg. He was impressed that high school students were able to build a fully functioning robot that can compete in competitions. Furthermore, he was proud of the Titans for providing affordable, hands on STEM education for the youth of Washington County. According to the Commissioner, “These students engage in extraordinary problem solving scenarios that help them prepare for college and a career and have fun, too.”

What happened at Miami Valley?!

Last week, the Titans participated at the Miami Valley Regional in Cincinnati, Ohio! We placed 15th and made it as a fist pick into alliance #5 for the finals. Even though we did not win, we helped to support many other teams in the competition like 3504, 3260, 554, 7515, and more! Overall, we helped 22 other FRC teams during this competition, whether it was giving them parts or fixing their robot. During the finals, announcements of the different awards were presented, and we won the Gracious Professionalism Award!
