If you have a child or teen who is interested in anything STEM related, the Titanium Titans Robotics Team is holding a virtual open house this Saturday, September 26th, from 12–1:30 pm. The Titans are a high school robotics team, consisting of teens from over 10 school districts in southwestern PA. They have two locations; their workshop/maker-space at the Armory Youth Center in Canonsburg and their NEW outreach space in McMurray, PA. POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE Our Annual National Robotics Week LEGO EV3 Tournament is coming up. This year’s theme is Traffic Jam. Participants will build a robot and compete in 2 weeks. Each team must consist of 2-4 students in grades 4-9. Teams will be rewarded for student leadership and teamwork. A nonparticipating adult must be present and an EV3 or NXT task bot capable of color sensing is required. The tournament is at Washington Crown Center on Saturday April 4th from 10AM to 2PM. The Titanium Titans have recently acquired a new space to hold workshops. This new location is in a busy shopping center and will serve as an outreach satellite hub. The new space will allow the Titans to hold more workshops in the future. We will host workshops at other locations along with our new hub. This new location provides improved accessibility, better parking, more space, and electrical upgrades.
